What We Do

Castinggg is a resin fabrication studio for contemporary sculpture.
We are trained in complex moldmaking and irregular forms. This allows us to efficiently create multiples, editioned works, and one-of-a-kind pieces. We engineer solutions for various types of resin projects, including art, furniture, spatial elements, and public art.

We use a variety of other materials—metal, marble, wood, and more—in combination with resin to create hybrid and Mixed-Media works.

We coordinate integrated fabrication for structures, armatures, pillars, bases and supporting accessories — ensuring technical coherence while maintaining resin as the primary sculptural medium.

Legacy

The studio is founded upon the legacy of master resin craftsman Ovidiu Colea of Colbar Art Inc. in New York City, who passed on his 40 years of experience in moldmaking and resin casting. We have built upon this legacy with creativity and young energy, creating a one-of-a-kind facility for casting resin—blending the analog and the digital, the handcrafted and the machined.

Initiated by Leonidas Trampoukis and Eleni Petaloti — the designers behind Objects of Common Interest
based in New York and Athens —
the studio draws from years of research into resin as a spatial and structural medium, developed
through international exhibitions
and large-scale installations.

Castinggg was founded in 2022 with the passion and challenge of researching new and exclusive techniques, technologies, and resin recipes, while preserving handcraftmanship, moldmaking and material tangibility in contemporary art.

Based in Athens and operating internationally, Castinggg stands at the intersection of European craft culture and New York fabrication standards, collaborating with artists across Europe and the United States, dedicated to advancing the sculptural possibilities of resin.
